Upcoming reading: Poetic Pairings

I will be participating in an upcoming Pandora’s Collective event at Britannia Library. Here are the details:

Tuesday Jan. 23, 2018
Pandora’s Collective and Britannia Library Present
Poetic Pairings
6:30–8:30 p.m.
Britannia Library, Gallery Room, 1661 Napier St. Free!

Join us for delightful pairings of poetic voices. Voices become differently engaged when set against another writer’s work. Listen as couplets bounce words off one another, relate their stories and rejoice in the collaboration of expression. Question period to follow.

Host: Mary Duffy
David Geary and Jonina Kirton
Taryn Hubbard and Fran Bourassa
Steven Duncan and Rosemary Nowicki
Ruby Cone and Alana Clohessy
Celeste Snowber and Natasha Sanders-Kay

A few recent readings

I had two recent readings: one was for Lunch Poems at SFU with Adele Barclay and the other was for the Capilano Review at SFU Harbour Centre for a panel on digital poetics with Ian Hatcher and Clint Burnham. I had a great time at both events.

Two of the poems I read at Lunch Poems were recently accepted by CV2 for an upcoming issue, which I was happy to hear.

I think that’s about it for readings for me this summer, though it does sound like I’ll be a part of a panel on writers and social media in the fall as part of Lindsey Kwan‘s MA thesis.
