Taryn has led numerous workshops on writing throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland. She has led writing workshops with Surrey Schools, Kent-Harrison Arts Council, City of Maple Ridge’s Artist in Residence program, Chilliwack Arts Council, and others.
As an instructor, she regularly teaches adult learners as a continuing studies instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley. She is focused on facilitating meaningful learning, and cultivating confident, independent, and reflective life-long learners.
In her workshops, she uses her strong facilitation skills to create an interactive, engaging, and inclusive environment where writers actively explore concepts through discussion and hands-on activities. By guiding conversations and fostering a collaborative atmosphere, she supports writers as they connect ideas to their own work in meaningful and transformational ways.
On writing panels, Taryn is experienced both as a facilitator of the discussion and as a panelist.
